Daily Discovery of Present Moment is Mari Lee’s first solo exhibition at the gallery. The exhibition presents selected videos from Mari’s Daily Discovery of Present Moment series as well as two large projections of selected new videos, which expand on the body of work she began during the recent pandemic.

Richard Tsao’s “flood room” painting Soak (2010, water-based mixed media on wood, 25 x 25 inches, 63.5 x 63.5 cm) in Richard Tsao: Rectangle at Art Projects International, 2024.

The exhibition 30 Year: Art Projects International reflects on Art Projects International’s history by highlighting the many artists, exhibitions, and people that have been part of the gallery’s story over the past three decades — from early years in Soho, with the gallery introducing and providing a platform for artists of diverse international backgrounds, to charting its own path with its move to Tribeca in 1998.

Art Projects International is pleased to present Line and Light, an exhibition of ten new acrylic and oil paintings by Il Lee, many completed in 2022. Renowned for his non-representational line work, in these recent paintings, Lee speedily carves animated curves through pliant paint to reveal colors below. The entangled lines may create a field of connected forms or a single event.

Art Projects International is pleased to present Color as Space featuring works by Bahar Behbahani, Mariano Ferrante, Seokmin Ko, Il Lee, Soo Im Lee, Filipe Rocha da Silva, Gwenn Thomas, Richard Tsao, and others. The exhibition foregrounds color and brings attention to how contemporary artists use color, beyond any synesthetic tendencies, to define concept, dimension, and territory.

Art Projects International is pleased to present Monocromo, paintings by Mariano Ferrante. The exhibition focuses on Ferrante’s works from the last two years and presents paintings of complex two-dimensional structures that reveal themselves as monochromes when viewed from a distance.
