A special installation of Il Lee’s new large-scale work on canvas accompanied by a ballpoint pen work on paper is on view in the Arts of Korea Gallery at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The presentation of IW-105 was the first public exhibition of Lee’s large acrylic and oil on canvas work. The ballpoint ink on paper work Untitled 303 hung as a companion piece, and was later acquired by the Metropolitan Museum of Art for its permanent collection in 2016.
